15,000 ft skydive over Taupo

The first day we arrived in Taupo we had booked a skydive but the weather was bad so we had to postpone it. So when we woke up two days later to perfect blue skies we knew this was the day for it!

Went we arrived at the centre, we were shown a video of a girl doing a jump, my stomach was in my mouth after it but I had always wanted to do a skydive so there was no turning back. Tim and I got the gear on and the next thing we knew we were in the plane climbing to 15,000 ft. Tim was out first, it happened so quick - one second he was there, the next he was gone! I went last...it was AMAZING! I couldn't open my mouth for the first couple of seconds because of the pressure and then suddenly I was screaming! I put my arms out and the force just kept them there. The freefall was over so quickly and then the parachute opended and we drifted downwards. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, almost too much to take it as I was still getting over the feeling from the freefall. It was the best 140 pounds I've ever spent!

Would I do it again? Definitely, if someone else paid!

Us infront of the plane, no second thoughts, really!

Getting the parachutes ready

Loved the fact the plane was pink!

Perfect weather for a skydive

Tim after the jump, looking very together

Me looking like a mentalist!
