Kaikora

When we arrived in the South Island, the weather was so different it was as if we had arrived in another country - the sun was shining and there was NO wind! Hurrah!

We picked up our hire car in Picton and drove to Kaikora. Kaikora is known for whales and seals, we didnt see either, but it was still a beautiful place to visit and had great fish 'n' chips! We only spent a night there, it would have been nice to have longer.

Me and some very big rocks

One of the many lovely views from our late afternoon walk

Sun setting over the sea

Amazing coast line

The beach just across the road from the YHA we were staying in
